South Korea aided 5 million dollars to Türkiye

South Korea decided to donate 5 million dollars to Türkiye, which was shaken by major earthquakes, along with medical supplies, search and rescue teams. President Yoon stated that Türkiye is a brother country and reminded that Türkiye had sent troops to North Korea in the 1950s.

South Korea aided 5 million dollars to Türkiye

After the Kahramanmaras-centered earthquakes, South Korea announced the scope of the aid it will provide. The Asian country announced that it will send a 60-person search and rescue team with medical supplies. The Seoul government will also donate $5 million.

"TURKEY IS A BROTHER COUNTRY"

While expressing support, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol described Türkiye as a "brother country" that sent troops to fight alongside South Korea during the 1950-1953 Korean War.

On the other hand, Jeon Ha Gyu, spokesperson for the South Korean Ministry of Defense, made a statement regarding the relief efforts.

MILITARY AIRCRAFT WILL MOBILIZED

According to Al Jazeera, Spokesperson Jeon said the ministry has agreed with relevant institutions to mobilize military planes to transport rescue workers and relief supplies.
