As the country continues to battle the aftermath of the two deadly earthquakes, information was received from social media accounts about mutual aid and search and rescue activities.
But after the earthquakes, Twitter was blocked to protect national security. After that, Turkish users started to enter Twitter by changing VPN.
Omer Fatih Sayan, Türkiye's Deputy Minister of Transportation and Infastructure, met with Twitter official over video conference on Wednesday. Sayan reminded, Twitter is legally responsible for preventing the spread of disinformation that could lead to panic and chaos.
Also, some of TikTok users in Türkiye are having problems using it.
