Israeli President Herzog, in a written statement on his Twitter account, condemned the organized attack of Jewish settlers against Palestinians in Nablus. "This is not our way. We must allow the Israeli army, police and security forces to catch these vile terrorists and restore order immediately," Herzog said.

'WE SHOULD ENSURE ORDER URGENTLY'

Herzog used the following statements:

"I state that I strongly condemn taking the law into our own hands, rioting and using violence against innocents. This is not our way. We must allow the Israeli army, police and security forces to catch these vile terrorists and restore order immediately."

On the other hand, in a written statement from the Israeli army, it was reported that two more military units were reinforced in Judea and Samaria settlements and the security points near Nablus were increased due to the events in Nablus.

NABLUS ATTACK

Settlers carried out Molotov cocktail attacks in the region and set fire to many Palestinian homes, businesses and vehicles.

According to the statement made by the Palestinian Red Crescent, 37-year-old Samih Hamdallah Mahmud Aktas, who was wounded in the stomach by a live bullet, died as a result of an armed attack by Israeli forces and settlers in the Zatera town of Nablus.

It was shared that Aktaş, one of the residents of Beyta town, voluntarily participated in the search and rescue efforts in Türkiye after the earthquake.

During the events, 2 Palestinians, one of whom was attacked with a knife and the other with a stick, were injured. It was reported that the injured were taken to the hospital.

It was noted that dozens of Palestinians were affected by the smoke, and some by the tear gas attacks.

It was reported that stony attacks were carried out on ambulances and fire trucks operating in the region and the vehicles were damaged.
