Armenia, Greece agree to boost military-technological cooperation in talks

In a meeting between the delegations led by Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias, an agreement was reached to give "new momentum" to the military-technological cooperation between the two countries.

A written statement from the Armenian Ministry of Defense noted that following the bilateral meeting between Dendias and Papikyan, who visited Armenia for an official visit, a decision was made to enhance the military-technology cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the current process of defense cooperation between Armenia and Greece, the efforts undertaken following the discussions held in Athens, Greece's capital, in December 2023, and the new possibilities for cooperation were discussed.

The meeting also addressed regional security issues.

Armenia and Greece signed a cooperation agreement in the military and technical fields on Dec. 12, 2023.

Greek defense minister, in a post on social media platform X, stated, "Today, I hosted the Defense Minister of a country with which we have hundreds of years of relations, friendship ties between our peoples, and shared experiences in our history."
