National Turkish football team gears up against Wales on their turf at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday

Turkiye wants to win group: Vincenzo Montella

Having won their last 2 group matches under the leadership of Vincenzo Montella, the Turkish National Team will host Wales in the closing match of Group D of the EURO 2024 Qualifiers. A draw will be enough to give the Turkish national team the lead.

Having secured qualification for EURO 2024 to be held in Germany, the National Football Team will face Wales away today in the last match of Group D of the EURO 2024 Qualifiers.

The match to be played at Cardiff City Stadium in Wales will be broadcast live on TRT 1 at 10.45 p.m. with local time in Turkiye. This impending clash marks the ninth encounter between Türkiye and Wales.

In the previous eight matchups, the Crescent-Stars emerged victorious three times, suffered four defeats, and battled to a draw once.

Referee Matej Jug from the Slovenian Football Federation will manage the match. Matej Zunic and Manuel Vidali will be the assistant referees of the match and Martin Matosa will be the fourth referee.

If the Turkish Crescent Stars do not lose away to Wales, they will qualify for EURO 2024 as the group leader.

Turkiye, which has been on the rise since Montella took office, is in the leading position with 16 points, while Croatia is in second place with 13 points and Wales is in third place with 11 points.
