Kahramanmaras was shaken by two major earthquakes, 9 hours apart, on February 6th. The 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes caused destruction in 10 cities in Türkiye and also north of Syria. More than 30 thousand people lost their lives under the rubble and 80 thousand people were injured. After the earthquake, messages of support for Türkiye and Syria continue to come from all over the world.

The world-famous Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin called for help for earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria. In the video he shared on his Instagram account, Martin said, "As you know, I cannot stay calm in times of crisis. The sights we saw in Türkiye and Syria after the earthquake breaks my heart." said.
