Pro-Palestinian demonstrators in San Francisco rally against Israeli attacks

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators assembled near the Ferry Building in San Francisco, California, United States on Monday to denounce Israeli assaults on Gaza and Rafah.

The protesters, marching along Market Street, drew attention to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with participants expressing solidarity with Palestinians affected by the violence.

"We stand here today to condemn the unjust aggression against Gaza and Rafah," said one protester, echoing sentiments shared by many in the crowd.

The demonstration highlighted the growing concern and advocacy for peace and justice in the region, with activists urging for a cessation of hostilities and a negotiated settlement to the conflict.

Israeli military offensive sparks humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Israel has launched a deadly military campaign resulting in the deaths of over 32,200 Palestinians, with more than 74,500 sustaining injuries amidst widespread destruction and shortages of essential supplies.

The conflict has forced 85% of Gaza's population into internal displacement, exacerbating shortages of food, clean water, and medicine. Additionally, approximately 60% of the enclave's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, as reported by the U.N.

Accusations of genocide against Israel have been brought to the International Court of Justice. In an interim ruling issued in January, Tel Aviv was ordered to cease genocidal actions and ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
