While the echoes of two major earthquakes in Kahramanmaras continued, the whole world took action to support Türkiye. In this context, Qatari Foreign Minister Al-Thani and US Secretary of State Blinken discussed international efforts for aid and rescue operations to the quake-hit regions.

Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al-Thani and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed ways to coordinate international efforts for relief and rescue operations in areas affected by the Kahramanmaras-based earthquakes.

According to the news in the Qatar news agency QNA, Qatar Foreign Minister Al-Thani, who is in the bUSA as part of his official visit, held a meeting in Washington with his US counterpart, Blinken.

At the meeting, ways of coordinating international efforts for aid and rescue operations in the regions affected by the earthquakes, which are described as the "disaster of the century", were discussed, and the delivery of aid to Türkiye and the north of Syria was evaluated.

At the meeting, also Qatar-US relations, developments in the Iran nuclear deal negotiations and the latest situation in Palestine and Afghanistan were discussed.
